Our Approach to Team Development
1st Stage: preliminary meetings and qualification
In the course of the years, it became important for us to distinguish between the entire team development process and the practical carrying-out of workshops. Time after time, there are situations in which we advise our clients to support the team development with process steps other than classical workshops (e.g. through individual coaching or regular business moderation).
We conduct a diagnostic interview meeting with the executive about the initial situation, the aims and the content of the matter in question.
Depending on the initial situation, we conduct a short group meeting, several interviews with small groups, or individual interviews with all the employees in the team.
At the end, there is always a summarising conversation with the executive, in which three things are discussed:
- How does the impression of the executive correspond to the information from the team?
- What focuses as regards content result from this?
- Which methodical approach is suitable?
In a written summary, the management personnel receive an overview of the discussed topics and a suggestion for the further approach.
2nd Step: team workshop
We conduct a workshop with the whole team in a stimulating environment (mostly external). In this, we regard ourselves as supporting the executive, as a helper in his or her role as team moderator and as a feedback-giver and coach for him or her and the team.
We are happy to also work with outdoor elements. We always adapt this to the background of the event.
It is important to us that team developments remain closely relevant to everyday concerns. At the end of these events, there are short and pragmatic actions and joint agreements.
3rd Step: follow-up
After 6-12 weeks, we conduct a follow-up conversation with the executive.
In this, experiences of implementation are analysed and compared. The requirements for further support of the executive or the team is discussed together.
